01Who we are

Teeera helps businesses upload, organize, store, and share documents. This Privacy Policy explains how Teeera Technologies Ltd. handles personal information when you visit our website, contact us, or use a Teeera workspace.

For account administration, service communications, and our own business operations, Teeera Technologies Ltd. is the organization responsible for deciding how personal information is used. Our contact details appear at the end of this policy.

When a business uploads documents to Teeera, that business generally decides why the information in those documents is processed. We handle that content on its instructions. If your information is in a customer’s workspace, contact that organization first about the document or the access it has granted.

02Information we handle

  • Account and workspace information. Your name, work email address, organization, account preferences, workspace membership, and assigned role.
  • Documents and related details. Files you upload, document names, folders, file types, sizes, sharing settings, and activity needed to manage your workspace.
  • Technical and usage information. IP address, browser and device details, sign-in events, service errors, and records of document or account activity needed to operate and protect the service.
  • Communications. Messages, contact details, and attachments you provide when requesting support or speaking with our team.
  • Billing information. The business name, billing address, plan, and payment records associated with a paid subscription. Payment providers process payment credentials; we do not need the full card number to administer a subscription.

We receive this information from you, your workspace administrator, people sharing documents with you, and the service providers involved in running the service. Please upload personal information only when you have the authority and a valid reason to do so.

03How we use information

We use personal information for specific purposes connected to the service:

  • Providing Teeera. Creating and administering accounts, organizing files, applying access settings, and supporting sharing. Where we contract directly with you, this processing is necessary to perform that contract.
  • Keeping the service reliable. Investigating errors, preventing abuse, supporting users, and managing business relationships. We rely on our legitimate interests in operating a reliable service, balanced against the rights of the people affected.
  • Meeting legal obligations. Maintaining required business records and responding to valid legal requests.
  • Optional communications. Where consent is required for a newsletter or optional technology, we ask first. You can withdraw that consent at any time.

Customer document content is processed to provide the workspace under the customer’s instructions. We do not sell personal information or use the contents of your documents to train general-purpose AI models. We do not make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you solely by automated processing.

04Workspaces and sharing

Your workspace administrator controls membership, roles, and the organization’s document practices. An administrator may be able to manage your access and view activity associated with the workspace.

The people who can open a document depend on its access settings. If a document is shared with anyone who has its link, a recipient may forward that link. A recipient may also retain a copy they have already downloaded. Changing a sharing setting cannot remove a copy held outside Teeera.

Before sharing, check the intended recipients and the information included in each document. When you leave an organization, its administrator may retain the workspace documents in accordance with that organization’s policies.

05Who we share information with

We share information only where needed to run the service, carry out your instructions, or meet an applicable obligation. Recipients may include:

  • Infrastructure, storage, technical support, communications, and payment providers working under appropriate confidentiality and data handling terms.
  • Members, administrators, and document recipients authorized through your workspace.
  • Professional advisers and public authorities when a disclosure is required by law or necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal rights.
  • A successor organization in a merger, acquisition, or business transfer, subject to appropriate protections and notice where required.

You can contact us for information about the providers relevant to your organization’s service.

06International processing

Depending on the service arrangements for your workspace, information may be handled in countries other than your own. The locations and contractual requirements applicable to customer document content should be agreed with the workspace owner.

Where a transfer is subject to UK or European data protection requirements, we use an applicable transfer mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or appropriate contractual safeguards. Contact us to request information about the safeguards relevant to your information.

07How long we keep information

We keep information for as long as it is needed for the purpose described in this policy. The period depends on the information, the customer’s instructions, the life of the account, and any applicable legal requirement.

  • Workspace documents are retained according to the workspace owner’s instructions and the applicable service agreement, including any agreed deletion and recovery period.
  • Account and support records are retained while needed to provide support, administer the relationship, and resolve outstanding questions.
  • Security and technical records are retained for the period reasonably needed to investigate incidents, prevent abuse, and maintain service reliability.
  • Financial and legal records may be kept after an account closes where recordkeeping obligations or unresolved claims require it.

Deletion from active systems and removal from backups may take place on different schedules. Backup copies are restricted and removed through the applicable retention cycle. We will explain the arrangements relevant to your workspace on request.

08Cookies and local storage

Essential cookies or similar technologies may be used to keep you signed in, remember service preferences, and protect account sessions. We do not use advertising cookies to build a profile of your activity across other websites.

If optional analytics or other non-essential technologies are introduced, we will describe them and request consent where required before they are used. You can also control cookies through your browser; disabling essential storage may affect account functionality.

09Protecting information

We use organizational and technical measures appropriate to the information and the risks involved in providing the service. These measures include access restrictions, permission management, and procedures for handling security concerns.

No online service can guarantee absolute security. Protect your account credentials, keep your devices secure, and tell us promptly if you believe an account or document has been accessed without authorization.

10Your rights and choices

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information; restrict or object to its use; and withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.

Send requests to privacy@teeera.us. We may ask for information needed to confirm your identity and locate the relevant records. We respond within the period required by applicable law and explain any restriction that prevents us from fulfilling a request.

For information controlled by your employer or another workspace owner, we may direct the request to that organization and assist it as appropriate. You can also raise a concern with your local data protection authority. In the United Kingdom, this is the Information Commissioner’s Office.

11Children and policy changes

Teeera is a business service for adults and is not directed at children under 18. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us without appropriate authority, please contact us so we can investigate.

We may update this policy as the service or its requirements change. The date above identifies the current version. For a material change affecting how we use your information, we will provide additional notice where appropriate or required.
